Our offroad system does have one of the deepest tones of any muffler/system out here, but most would not say it drones at all. You really need to sit in a Jeep with something other than your dad's Gibson to get an idea what it feels like. I wish I had a scratch or dent to send you to try out. I'm sure the relocation would work very well for your needs.
You've got to remember that this is a mini-van engine. Putting a truck muffler on it will not make it sound like a truck. Many sound ricey, or pop on deceleration. We have found our system is a nice mix of volume, tone, and performance.

Yeah. I just wish I had a way of hearing an MBRP in person. i dont know anyone here with a JK lol (Rochester, NY). I am definitely liking the MBRP stock location system's look. Just need an aggressive sound.
Gibson single compared to MBRP stock location system anyone?
(and steve, its me matt - thanks for all the quick and helpful emails!)

I have an MBRP exhaust on my unlimited JK and you can feel the muffler sound a little. It's not enough to make your fingers tingle or anything, but you can feel it. If you lived closer I'd let you ride in mine to see for your self.
okay. I will put this simply - I want a loud system that doesn't kill torque! My dad's dual gibson actually gave him some more power.
I might just chop off the stock muffler and put a glasspack there with a nice tip, but I would rather have a "system". Oh - can you put a 4 door axleback (like the gibson) on a 2 door? or do you have to get another system?

I have the Woods exhaust

and I did the evap relocation with it. It isn't overly loud. But the nice part is that since the muffler sits just behind the driver on the driver's side, you do feel it more. When at lower speeds you can hear it and it's a low tone, but at highway speeds it's quieter than some others that I have heard.
