Default Muffler relocation?

so i'm about to make the jump and have local muffler shop put on a new flowmaster 40. if i have them relocate it to the "off road" position next to the evap canister, do i need to have them put a heath shield there?(or am i talking out of my ass?)

thanks
steve

Do yourself a favor and relocate the Evap canister. The Woods kit works well and is very simple. Took me about 2 hours to install it. Gets it out of the way and you don't have to worry about getting it too hot or tearing it off.

did you replace your muffler yourself? i may ditch the shop doing this and spend the money on a MBRP setup & install it myself.

curious about your thoughts..

Can't beat a bolt on, dyno tuned set up that you can install yourself in a few hours.

There are some great prices to be had on these systems if you do a little digging.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Yes..2 actually:
1)is the aluminium ok or do I need to spend another 100 bucks on the stainless steel? Trying to be smart about my money..
2) with the offeoad muffler position, do I need to move the evap canister? Or is there just a heat shield or maybe armor for evap ok?
