Cool

It was worth the suggestion ~~~> For chuckle purposes at least.

Mine actually bit the dust that way- well not to the extreme I said, but it needed replacing after the fact

You absolutely can't compare exhaust sound or performance on a turbocharged diesel engine to the squirrel powered 3.8L. Expect to sound like another pissed off rice rocket. In my opinion...

IMO it will sound like hell and you performance will suffer, but that is just my 2 cents. It's your Jeep.

That being said, the passenger side hanger is a beyotch to get off, i finally cut the metal band on mine with a diegrinder/fiber cutoff wheel and hacked it off in pieces when i junked my stock muffler.

Spent oil or wheel bearing grease + Large Flat head screwdriver. Coat the screwdriver in a little grease, push it through the rubber hanger, and leverage the flat head against the metal hanger, pushing the rubber away from you. Slides right off.

Spraying some lithium grease on the metal hanger and wiggling the rubber off also works.

I don't think my muffler delete sounds that bad > http://s391.photobucket.com/albums/o...91014-1442.flv
