Default Mufflers

I've done a lot of reading and searching and I'm stuck on another mod decision.

I am debating on getting a new muffler for a meaner sound but not a horrible drone on the highway. I intend on relocating under the frame rails and definitely want to avoid a ricer rocket sound with the v6. And I'll have to pass on the magnaflow.

I'm looking at the Flowmaster super 40, super 44, or an Aero Turbine 3030.
Opinions and feedback please...

BTW Happy Holidays!

Also, would the exhaust be too obnoxious that if I were to go on the trails it would scare any wildlife away?

I don't know how the 40 or 44 will sound on the JK, but I had a 40 on my 07 Pathfinder for about 15 minutes before I had to have it replaced. It definitely sounded like a fast and furious, and it was a killer on the inside. I couldn't think myself hear!!!

Fast and furious is my biggest fear with putting a new muffler on. The sound clips I've listened to on youtube and on hear are all pretty subjective. To me the magnaflow sounds to much like a ricer car.

Why no MagnaFlow?
Mine sounds great - definitely not the rice rocket sound, if that's what you're afraid of.

I have seen Cooltech's sound clips: http://pages.sbcglobal.net/kpond/CoolTechJK/Exhaust/

But I am just pretty unsure of Magnaflow sounds vice that of a flowmaster. Plus I don't want to be annoyed for the long road trip I have on the 27th from Maryland to San Diego.

You should come up to Rausch Creek on Jan 5. Im running a cooltech kit and Im sure others are running some different setups. I really dont think the magnaflow sounds like a ricer at all.

Here is the rausch thread:

Edit: ok I just saw you are leavin on the 27th, so I doubt you could make the RC trip! lol We just drove down to NC, about 550 miles, the exhaust wasnt annoying at all. At least in my opinion.
