So today I spent some time and plasti dipped the wheels because I LOVE the way black wheels look on wrangler. I plan on getting some wheels in the future but with newer wider wheels come bigger tires so i have some saving to do. For the mean time, this 25 dollar fix will work for me.

Did you leave then on the jeep or take them off? Also, how long did it take and how many coats? Looks great, been debating doing the same.

You CAN leave them on, but IMO it's easier to take your wheels and tires off the Jeep than it is taping your brake calipers, etc behind the wheel and spraying them ON the Jeep.

You'll need to do 4-5 coats, or at least that's what's recommended.

here's how with them on: PlastiDip Rims - Without Taking Wheels off the Car - DipYourCar.com How To - YouTube

and a sh1t ton of videos about how to do them off, but this one's good: How to Plasti-Dip Rims - YouTube

P.S. OP, your rims look bitchin'.

I took my wheels off because i wanted to do the insides as well and did not want to spend time taping off all the brake components so i don't coat them too. N3tfury pretty much answered all the other questions haha.
