Default My gate spot welds broke!!!!

Anyone have thier spot wields break on the rear gate??? My 315 75r16 was all that was on the back...I know there are a lot of 35/37 's out there hanging off the rear gates...I have 25000 on the Jeep. Do you think the warranty will cover it..has anyone had this happen????

seriously why would they cover it? because others have theirs on the gate? and btw 37's will not fit on stock carrier.

check out car-part.com for a used tailgate, can even get the right color

My welds broke also..... After I backed into a dumpster. Thank goodness the tire covers up most of the damage!

They might cover it but why should they. Com'on dude, I put my 35 on for a day and felt it was way too much for the door.

Pay a body shop. You are responsible.

Yeah I know, the days of personal responsibility are gone. Take it to the dealer and blame Chrysler for a lame design. Jeez.

Every time I hear someone denied a legitimate warranty claim it's people like you that are to blame.

The American car companies are hurting. They don't need to be paying for your mistakes. You made a mistake. It happens. Take responsibility for the mistake and pay to have it repaired.
