Default My plans...

I do not want to do any hard core off roading. I do not want to have to buy new rims. I have a 2010 Sahara 4 door with the stock 18's. I am wanting just a bit more lift for looks. Will the RC premium kit ( Part #: 637 ) cause me any problems? Will I have to modify any other parts? Will my wheels/axles/traction bars be "off" afterwards? Will I need to upgrade the steering stabilizer?

I am new to Jeeps and do not mind doing some work under the vehicle. I just do not want to set myself for "issues" down the road like the "death wobble" I keep reading about.

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond.

Just read up on your warranty after lifting you Jk. Chrysler voids them if you lift your jeep, that's what I was told by my dealer and also read on here. You did say you have a 2010 Sarhar so I am guessing that its still under the 3/36.

It only has 700 miles on it. I also purchased an extended warranty. I might just wait and make sure my first Chrysler product holds up for a few years before I start modding.

It looks like the RC is not "optimal". The Teraflex 2.5 Performance BB looks good but I am not feeling good about drilling into my new Jeep.

FAQ's ...

Lifting causes issues. No way around it. All you can do is add more components to try to 'correct' the issues.

What you want/need/have to add or modify beyond the included components is completely up to you. If you don't like the flighty handling, get some form of caster correction. That kit has a rear trackbar bracket. If having the front axle off-center bugs you, get a bracket or an adjustable up there. It has new rear links, be sure to move the stock rear links up front. It has brake line relo brackets. Bumpstops are integrated into the shocks. Some people have reported issues with them. If you want bumpstops, be sure to add the fronts when the lift is installed. The rears can go on at any time.

Install it, drive it, see what else 'you' think you need to do...

I just do not want to set myself for "issues" down the road like the "death wobble" I keep reading about.
This is generally an install issue, or worn components. Check the torque specs for all components, and check for worn components. Plenty of info here to help diagnose it if/when it happens.

Go with the Teraflex 2.5" Budget Boost or 2.5" coil lift. Either way you will be happy. They are easy to install, provide the look you are after, and don't affect suspension geometry enough to warrant the purchase of other components such as link arms or track bars. Plus, it still looks good and performs well with the stock wheel/tire combo you got. Just make sure to post picture when done!
