Default my steering clunk

well i have the clunk i tried the 5th wheel axle grease on the accident compression joint sort of worked

turn out it is the in cabin U joint on the shaft and the others feel not right either according to the mechanic.

he said this will be a common issue like the TJs and YJs and durangos

so is anyone going to make something better?

lets get a modified heavy duty after market upper and lower steering shaft? that can be lubed at the joints as well

anyone? anyone know any solutions or products

Yeah, check out Borgeson. They make one for 160 bucks that is heavy duty and won't clunk. I would still grease it up good before installing it though. Search steering clunk you will find the post from the guy who replaced his shaft with a Borgeson. Hope this helps.

I sent my old shaft to Flaming River because they said if I sent it to them they might be able to come up with a new one. Alas I am still waiting to hear from them..

I asked the dealer to grease the unit when they installed it, but they said it was not the problem.
