Since I'm looking at aftermarket bumpers / winch, I'm going to have to do something like a levelling kit or a lift with new coils to take extra weight. I only wanna lift it once. I don't know what coils will be coming on my new JKUR as of yet. Still waiting on my vin to pull up the build sheet.
I run a 2 1/2" lift on my 13 JKUR with stock fenders and 35X12.50X17's with minimal fender contact. With only 2", your result may be a little different and might want to consider slightly taller bumpstops.

Thumbs up Excellent write up

Ok; I'm running 33's on 17x9's with a 2 in zone coil spacer lift and bumpstops. Most threads suggest a 2.5 in lift for 35's or as you recommend 2 in and flats. If a 2.5 in lift allows for 35's with with stock fenders and heavy front and rear aftermarket bumpers and winches...wouldn't a 2 in lift be almost the same with stock bumpers and 35's. I only do trails and ditches nothing hardcore requiring a lot of flex. Thanks for your help.

most 2.5" lifts with stock fenders and 35's will rub off road unless you run taller bumpstops so might not be an ideal situation. On the road you will be fine. also most true 2.5" coil lifts give more lift then spacer lifts. Most coil lifts are giving the lift advertised after bumpers etc and spacers are not.

Fantastic thread, reading it the last two days and learned a lot and has definitely changed my approach as to what to do.

Can I ask advice and guidance on belly clearance and break over... Just got a JKUR and when I went out last weekend, my biggest problem repeatedly was belly clearance.

If I go from 32" to 35" and add a 2 inch lift (whether coils or spacers), would that raise my belly 3.5" from where I stand now?

If I choose to go with small coil lift, and if I find that I don't have enough belly clearance still, what would/could be potential options for me then... Would I need to swap for a larger coil lift or could I add spacers or something else then?

Thanks to all those who put in the time and effort to educate novices like myself.

You can always go bigger but I will guarantee you will always find a bigger rock to get hung up on no matter how high you go.

This is with 40's a custom suspension with 20" of belly clearance. I was going backwards and had a spotter I didn't know. Choosing proper lines and experience will go way farther then an extra 1" of lift.
Build your rig for what you do the majority of the time, if you have a dd that sees a few trails a year why sacrifice the on road performance by using a high lift so you don't have to have driver skills off road.
I will try most obstacles but I still know my limits.

And you are right it never seems to end.

I would say bigger tires make the jeep look better, not a lift. Tall jeeps with small tires just look dumb. Same thing with big wheels and small tires like a 20" wheel running 33's.
