Default Mystery Drivetrain

Alright guys I bought used. Instead of having 3,000 threads asking different questions I figured I would roll it all into this one. THANKS in advance for all the help. I have called the stealership and was told they could only tell me the options available for that year and no build sheet. PLUS it is used and came with a lift so who knows what the guy did. That is what I am trying to figure out.

Here's what I have .....

2010 JK Sport Unlimited (appears to have factory hitch job on the back)

I believe I have a Dana 44 rear and a 30 front... but I need confirmation please. I've attached pics that look similar to what I have.

To begin with....

Can you confirm that I have a 44 rear and a 30 front from the pics?

If I have a factory hitch is it a done deal that I should have at least 4.10 gears in the rear end?

If it's a Dana 30 in the front and no mods have been made, what gears do I have in the front?

The higher the number on the gears means more low end (off road) capability and crappier highway performance right?

I have 35" tires.... if that setup is correct, is it enough to push those tires around without causing damage to anything?

Off road I will be doing mostly light trails with the occasional small climb and axle deep mud pit.... is what I have sufficient for that without causing damage?

THANKS SOOOOOOO much in advance. I wanted to be educated.... gotta start somewhere.

Go to jeep.com, make an account and enter you VIN. It'll show you everything that was originally installed. you do have a D30F/D44R.

You are assuming the hitch is factory. I bought used also. Told me 3.73's were in my jeep and I of course was a noob so I didn't know any better. Well thanks largely in part to this forum I'm a bit more informed. I have 3.21's and an after market hitch.
That being said I'm rolling a 2.5" teraflex coil lift and 35's and love it. I haven't minded the gearing at all. I have a 6 sp so I guess that's why I don't mind.

Front and rear gear ratios are same on all 4 wheel drives. Otherwise, the axles and tires would be turning at different RPMs resulting in something breaking immediately. As far as I remember, besides Rubicons, the only model year you could get 4:10s in an X, Sport, or Sahara was 2007.

Are you manual or auto?

I have an auto. So i guess I'm running either 3.21s or 3.73s.

So does that mean i should worry about burning anything up because i have 35s?
