Default Narrowed down to 2 lifts

I got a nice Christmas present of some cash, and after spending ALL afternoon searching through here and other sites, comparing kits (wanna see my spreadsheet? ), I've narrowed it down to either Rusty's 2" coils or Teraflex 2.5" coils.

I use my Jeep for daily driving and light off-roading. So I don't need extreme flex or ultra hard core parts.

I have 2 specific questions:

1. Do I HAVE to get a trackbar with either kit, or is this optional but recommended part?

2. If I go with the Teraflex kit with shock adapters, and use my stock shocks, how much am I limited travel?

Tera flex is prob higher quality and heavier duty. Good luck.

I have the TF w/ extensions. I only installed what was in the kit. After install, I had no dash alarms, no need for alignment, no death wobble, no pulling. Just installed per crappy instructions, and drive. I am very pleased, 2 months later...
Not sure about travel limits, but if it means saving my drive shaft, I'm okay with it.

Something else to consider is the difference in tire size with those lifts. With the Rusty's 2" lift, you can run 33's. With the Teraflex 2.5" coil lift, you can run up to 35" tires.

Default Teraflex

I am the same as CHIPMAKER. Installed the Teraflex 2.5 with coils and shocks and thats it. I didnt have to do anything else and never had one problem in the last year I have been running it. Performs great on and offroad. I run 35" Toyo MT with it.

Go with the TF, I don't think the rustys kit even comes with bumpstop extensions.

1. TF kit comes with a rear trackbar drop braket, you should not but might need a new trackbar for the front. I would wait and see after the lift.

2. None.
