Need advice!!!
I have a 2010 2DR Sahara, 2.5 inch teraflex suspension lift, just wrapped 34.5s on the stock 18 inch rims.
I am running the fully stock dana 30 front axle. Is that an issue with my tires?? Should I be avoiding locking my diffs? Should I be getting C-Gussets??
Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks everyone!

I have 35's on 18 inch rims and a dana30. I gussetted the C's. Very inexpensive modification. Worth every dime and more. I don't have lockers for the dana30. I just have JKS discos which help keep the tires in contact with the ground. I am very light on the gas while wheeling and feel very comfortable with the d30 holding up.
How much did you pay for you C's? Because the ones i have seen so far are around $90? was the welding expensive?
any chance you know is a 2010 Sahara 2DR has front lockers?
Thanks

Not likely, but a few guys have reported having lockers in non-rubicons. Do you have extra switches below your vent controls that would say axle lock or something similar? Check your build sheet to be 100%. (if you don't have it, send your VIN in to get a new one)
As far as running a locker in that front 30 goes, you will get a lot of different advice. Some people run lunchbox lockers, a lot prefer selectables, and some will say not to run a locker in it. My opinion, I drive on snow and ice, so will not run an auto-locker up there. I can't see dropping a grand on a selectable for a weak d30, so I opted for a TruTrac. Just depends on your budget and how strong 'you' think that axle is. (personally, I think it is very weak...)
If you are gusseting and adding a locker, I would strongly suggest you add sleeves at the same time. (assuming you don't just talk your self into a 44, that is...)

Well, to be honest im hoping I dont have a front locker because like it says above, i just wrapped 34.5s and would prefer to not have the stress of it locking.
I do not have any 'lock' buttons anywhere... so I know its not the same as the rubicon... but what worries me is that I have had multiple occasions of being in 4Lo or even 4Hi, and trying to turn tight turns and having something that I believed was 'crow-hop'? A violent back and forth tugging on the wheel and the wheels wanting to straighten back out? maybe thats just my rear?

Here is a pic of the joint that i found in another thread (note that this joint is blown...)

And the obligatory "what the manual says about it" blurb

4H Position
Four Wheel Drive High Range—Locks the front and rear
driveshafts together, forcing the front and rear wheels to
rotate at the same speed. This range (4H) provides
additional traction for loose, slippery road surfaces and
should not be used on wet or dry pavement.

No Dana 30 has a locker from the factory in a JK.
However, i am running 35 inch KM2s, have lockers front and rear, and wheel very hard. I am smart about when I mash the gas on a tough obstacle, but I do wheel very hard. You won't have any issues with 34s or 35s and a Dana 30 unless you abuse the thing. They will not take abuse, but be smart, you would be surprised what they will do. I broke one front axle being very stupid.
if this is mainly a street or light trail rig, then no worries, you will be just fine.
If you wheel hard in the rocks, just be smart. Oh, and get some lockers! They make wheeling so much more fun!
