Default need advice on tires?????????

Hey guys,

I am putting my new 17" rugged ridge wheels on and I need new tires.
Which ones should I put on? I do mostly street driving but do go out and play in the snow and mud, just lite offroading.
I don't want the "roar" but I do love aggressive looking tires.
Suggestions please!! And thanks in advance!!!

I've been very pleased with how my Cooper S/T's handle everything. Not as aggressive as the STT but still pretty decent.

Really depends on what you want and what you are willing to give up for the aggressive look. Some options include the Goodyear Duratracs, Firestone Destination M/T, Procomp Mud Terrain, Procomps Extreme Mud Terrain and Extreme All-Terrain, the list is pretty long. You can start here http://www.offroaders.com/reviewbox/index.php

There is two separate categories one for M/T's and one for A/T's. Some tires have lots of reviews others none. It at least is a good starting point.

I'm going to put a plug in for the Goodyear Duratrac's. I love mine. Very aggressive yet not a sound on the pavement! I forgot where you live, but they have been awesome in the snow!

I love my bfg km2. They look bad a$$ and they are pretty quiet and handle great

Of course they look better in person tho.

X2 on the S/T's I have over 50k on my current set and love them, they are the best all-terrain I have ever run. I do 70+ miles for my daily commute and they have very good road manners, they are pretty quiet and handle the rain and snow very well. I also spend quite a few weekends playing at the local off-road park in the mud and rocks where thay also perform well. I can probably get anther 5-10k out of them so I will be putting on another set sometime before next fall.

in my experience, i have swampers. and they are loud as %$#@. im going to upgrading to mud grapplers 35". i know they howl down the road. but they look amazing.
I have 37" mud grapers and when they wear out I will buy them again, you can't beat the look they give and they sound awesome going down the road, I don't think there that loud but again they are fairly new Nd the cd player drowns them out real easy. I have had swampers and they are Lot louder than the nittos

Another vote for KM2s. They are extremely quit and work great in all terrains except deep
(off-road) snow. They have an aggressive tread but not over the top. I cannot pick up any road noise at all from them. I've got 8k on my set with no abnormal wear yet. I have no idea the miles they are rated for.

Nitto terra grapplers, some noise, aggressive look and street friendly.
