Default Need advice on what lift..

Hello, I just bought a 2008 wrangler unlimited and I am wanting to lift it and put some better tires under it. I plan on doing light off roading and around a 34" tire or so. I have been searching and reading a lot on lifts for these jeeps. I like the Teraflex 2.5 coil lift with shocks and I can add the disco's and adjustable track bars later on if needed. I was also wondering about the RC 3.5 lift ? I haven't read much on this lift but wondered how it compared to the TF? I plan on using my stock rims with spacers ... I definately want the level look and might be adding a bumper and a winch down the road. Thanks , Dozer.

Get the TF leveling lift. It will give you the look you want, clearance for the tires, it inexpensive and you dont need all the extras.

Decide on a budget, and then start comparing the components in the kits in your price range. Do Not Buy because of a dirt cheap price tag!! Compare components!!

You mentioned an adj trackbar and disco's. What about caster correction? When you're in the 3+" range, caster is definitely something you will want to consider.

If you haven't found the Modified FAQ's yet, I would suggest you start there. Lots of good info on lift heights vs tire heights, components you will want for various heights, gearing consideration, DriveShaft Considerations!!, a good description of the effects of low caster!!, etc...

Once you get an idea of what you want to spend and which components you will want, come back with all of your new questions...
