I just purchased the WARN 9500TI THERMOMETRIC WINCH 67550 and I need to know is it best to wire it straight to the battery or do I need to purchase a relay assembly and wire it through the relay. I installed the winch in the Rugged Ridge stubby front bumper. I am relatively new at all of this.

I also have the 9.5ti. I wired it directly to the battery but I have been thinking about the
relay for protection if a wire gets cut etc.
