Default Need feedback for shock option

Hello everyone,

My current rig has a RC 3.5 Series II lift with their new N2.0 shocks. I originally bought the lift as a starter/entry lift and now want to upgrade. It is a daily driver and a coilover system is overkill for the medium trail riding that I occasionally do and have pretty much decided on EVO 4" plush ride coils. I know King is the best out there and EVO specifically specs them for their coils but not wanting to spend that much for shocks. Bottom line which shocks would provide a comfortable on road driving but still provide good off road performance when paired with these coils? I've seen numerous debates between Bilstein, Fox, OME ect but want to hear from you guys as to what you have experienced. Thanks for your time!

Hey I'm in a similar boat I am in the process of upgrading my RC lift. My Evo plush ride coils just came in and damn I'm excited lol. So I also don't have a million dollars to spend on shocks so I hear the 5100s are the best to go with. Good luck with the build!!!

Thanks! You as well! If you get them installed and have some time let me know how you like the ride and feel of them. Have always heard nothing but good things about the 5100s and so far is my first choice but wanted to hear about some of the other options, pros and cons, ect.

I've run the 5100's on 2 jeeps with different lift kits. They are fine for on road, and fine for offroad, except..... Bumpy washboard stuff. If you find yourself bouncing on dirt roads a lot, I might suggest the fox remote res shocks. They are more expensive than 5100's but less expensive than kings.

I have the Fox 2.0 IFP shocks and they ride great on and off road. They are around $130 each. I ordered mine from Off Road Warehouse.

Rancho has a $100 rebate on their 9000 adjustable shocks.
I ran them for about a year and they were great.

I bought a used set of fox res. they are stiffer but handle the rough stuff better.

I recommend the Bilstein 5100's unless you absolutely need Foxes.

I'd love to hear the results of how the ride is with either fix res or other shocks. As I am looking at the enforcer kit as well and may just pull the trigger on the king
