Need feedback for shock option
So you're going to revalve your shocks everytime you plan to actually put a load in it? Shocks don't support, they merely dampen. The minimal difference in weight loaded and unloaded is not enough to require any special valving. The curb weight difference between a 2dr and 4dr is only 500lbs, and that's why the springs are different.
Anyway, what does your argument have to do with what I posted about Bilsteins having a lifetime warranty and being a pretty much perfect all around shock for 95% of JK owners?

The differences between a shock and a better shock are how long will the shocks function without failing or deteriorating, and how they perform under very demanding circumstances & heat.
Other than that, any shocks - with the same valving - would feel the same.
The previous Jeep had air springs instead of coils, so the shocks valving was a trial & error process. It took 3 re-valving sessions to get good ride.
This time, at first, the shocks were a bit hard. I waited until after the extra weight was added -- bumpers, skid plates, drawers, recovery gear, water/fuel Jerrycans, etc'.
The added weight changed the coil-shock-weight equation enough to make the suspension comfortable, so re-valving was unnecessary.
So, yes, overall weight makes a difference.
If I had adjustable shocks like the Fox, I'd adjust them softer for DD and easy offroading, and harder for more challenging offroading.
