Will even work w/o spacers...if you have a lift and do the Project-JK steer stop adjustment. I ran 12.5 wide tires this way w/no problems, the 285 70's are only 11.22" wide.

This is before I got a lift and bigger tires, 285/70-17 Dueller A/T's. No rubbing, but I never had it off-road. Daily driving you should be fine for sure.

the 285/75R17 are a 34.1" tall tire and they will fit but you will not be able to wheel or flex at all. Expect a lot of rubbing.

I run 285/70R17 on aftermarket 4.5" backspaced rims and they are PERFECT.

Look around in the Show and Tell section for pictures.

I have cooper stt 285/70/R17 in my jk 4 door. There are about 33X11.5. They rub with the fender if you hit a bump on the road or if you have people on the rear seat. Add a 2.5 bb lift and problem solved. I have know a TF 3" lift and the jeep look great. Will post some pic soon. Hope this help.....
