My votes for the rocker guards. Just more functional in my opinion as a first mod. Chances are you're going to come down on something or slide across something that will leave you wishing you had protected rockers.

Get both. Buy used takeoff rockers and a new winch.

Depends on where you want to go. If you're going places where you're likely to get stuck and don't have another Jeep to help you get un-stuck, then the winch would be a high priority.

If you always have a buddy vehicle with you and you're crawling over rocks, then the rocker guards would be the high priority.

There's not an single universal answer (in my opinion).

X 2.
Rocky terrain = slidders
Mud terrain = winch

There really isn't one answer. Save some money and look at the Recon winch. there are several threads on this forum.

Get someones take off Rubi rails, you can usually get them pretty cheap on the forum or craigs list. I traded my sahara steps for some. You can almost always get someone to pull you out, but body damage is body damage.
