You are correct took rock sliders off and the noise was gone. So know I got to figure out what was wrong why it was making the noise.

Check your rear suspension. For months I had a wooden creeking sound when i wood brake and thought it was the front till i one day noticed my rear left coil was leaning sideways and the 1.75" spacer had fallen out during jumpy offroading. It made my suspension sound horrible. I would rock it to see where it was coming from but no noise. I finally adjusted it back and put a new spacer, that solved my problem.

Just fronded down the factory welds on the stock rock rails and put them back up and no more noise so it was the rock sliders rubbing against the factory rock rails
