Most 38" tires take the same amount of mods to fit them as 40's due to the extra width and they weight about the same as well. I think there is only one 38x13.5" tire out there.

yeah i think the open country mts are the only 1 but you are better off to get a MTRK 40 cause they weigh less. But the main reason for me going to the 37 is cause my dad has a extra set of 37MTRS on a 15inch trail ready just sitting around. Since they are for a tj i just have to get adaptors but that isn't bad.

the weights not the only concern, picture a wrench on a bolt, the longer the wrench the easier it is to turn the bolt... picture the wrench length as the tire size and the bolt as say your axle shaft.

yeah i completely understand that why i said i personally don't want to go bigger then 37 on a d44.
