need help body bolts stripped

Default need help body bolts stripped

was removing the six bolts that attach the body to the tub on my 2011 to install ace rock sliders and can not get the bolts to start.
help!!!!!

Default Same problem...

Had same exact problem, especially with the middles... impact wrench and push in hard is the correct answer, as they are not really "stripped" they just are tricky to catch. We DID NOT have an impact wrench at the time (most costly mistake of the install session), but a fast ratchet and lots of elbow grease pushing up did the trick. Scared the out of us, but once they catch you will be fine.


Cutting the darn washers was a PITA also

Tap one in slightly with a hammer, then try to start. Or use an impact

Got it fixed. Used the jack to lift up on the railafter I got one started. Thabks for the help. The 107 degree heat did not help at all
