Dunno, the first three went on no problem. I was only using my ratchet so I can only guess that it was already cracked or stressed. In any case, I'm in a pickle!

Try calling around to a few tow companies, they usually have lug keys to numerous wheel locks.
p.s. Now you know why you don't use security lug-nuts when you go wheeling.

That or if it doesnt have a spinning collar you could try taking a deep socket (6 point) that is small enough in diameter to tightly fit into the lug nut (just enough that you would have to hammer it to fit into the lug) and try unscrewing it that way with a breaker bar...

There's not really much room to grab onto. I have the 18" Sahara wheels on & their sunk in pretty good.

Locking lugs only keep borderline honest people from crossing the line. wheels are an item of opportunity, make them a little tougher to get and there is a chance the thief will move on. It isnt 100% insurance, but it helps some.

I found all the lugs except the locks missing off of my ranger when i was in college. I dont know if they just wanted the lugs(kids), or where prepping to steel the wheels as well, but i had to walk to an autoparts store and buy new lugs before i could get home.

if your going to use locks, put one of the removal sockets in your trail bag. with a BFH & a punch, your gonna need it.

I ordered one last year and they asked me if I needed it over-nighted.
