Default Need Help With Bump Steer

So I need some clarification. I had a new drag link track bar and tie rod installed on my jeep jk 4 door. The new drag link is mounted above the steering knuckle and the track bar is still in the stock location but is adjustable (along with all the other components). Is this what is causing moderate bump steer in my jeep? If so will a track at relocation bracket fix it? The track bar and drag link look parallel but the track bar has a bend in it that makes it difficult to tell the actual angles. I'll try to post a pic as well. Any help is appreciated.

The bend in the track bar is supposed to be there btw.

What size lift? If you flipped the draglink then you want to raise the tracbar also.

^^^What he said. The track bar and drag link should be at the same angle. Raise the track bar until it has the same angle and you should be all set.

Ignore the bend. Draw a mental line from bolt to bolt to determine if it is parallel. Or take a picture and use MS paint to draw the lines on the picture.

And if I'm not mistaken, Invest2m4 knows for sure, if you raise the front track bar you should raise the rear at least the same amount to maintain roll center.

Don't forget about taller bumpstops to go with the flip and trackbar raise brackets.

Right I believe 3" is usually a required minimum for flips

Default Ok

thanks guys. I didn't realize that it was a straight line from bolts to bolt so I think that that is my problem. I got a cheap track bar bracket for the axle side off of Amazon it will be here in two days if it improves my ride and stops the bump steer I will get a weld on one that reinforces the stock bracket and get one for the rear as well to correct for roll center. but I figure for $25 it's a cheap way to check. I'll post when I have results!!

Oh and my lift is well over 3" probably more like 5-6". I have coilovers so I'm not sure exactly how much lift I've got.

it's not a matter of checking if it helps. It will help. Did you do the install yourself or have a shop do it?
