Default Need help with cb and antenna

I looked on here at some treads but didn't quite find what I needed to know. I have a Uniden cb that my mom got me for Christmas, I was just looking at buying one on the 23rd...lol...Im glad I didn't get one. Anyways, I now some have mounted high up in between the visors and I thought about that but when your wheeling and have to adjust something you would pretty much have to stop completely . I don't even know you could use the rearveiw mirror but it may be up high enough that it wouldn't matter and not to mention how many of these cb's have been stolen out of big trucks. This is my question after this long tread, where have everyone else mounted theirs that is down low and possibly out of sight? I saw a post where a guy mounted his on the drivers side of his shifter. If anyone has done this how is it when your on and off the gas? It looks like it would be close to the right leg and may bother you. As far as the antenna I'm thinking of mounting it on my stock tire carrier, its cheap and keeps it out of the way of limbs and rocks of whatever.

I will be going on a trip and dont want to be the only one wihout a cb or one that has one but doesn't know where to mount it, last time I had to be in the middle of the line.

I mounted mine along the shifter console and doesnt get in the way of driving. I used the one screw that is on the side to mount the cb bracket. It will limit your seat from moving foward all the way though. Works well for me.

Thats where I'll put it then, I was kinda wanting it there but didn't know if I would be hitting it every day of not. I do know that I want to keep it out of veiw of any possible thieves. Theres people out there that love other ones hard earned stuff, and my mom works hard. So the next time I go to Disney you guys can't talk about me...lol...because I will be able to hear you . Where did you have your antenna?

Thanks Torn
