Need help deciding
Please help. I want to buy a lift kit. I narrowed it down to 2.
1. AEV 2.5" Dual Sport XT
2. TerraFlex 2.5" with shocks
I've read good and not so good about both. I know I don't want to go more than 2.5" lift. I do off-road once every other month. I got 4 door, will be getting 35" tires. It is my DD.
Which one is more complete kit for the money?
I don't want RK because with shocks it comes out a lot more money.
thanks.

I've got the AEV on my 2 door and love it I'm putting 35"s on it this week and also bought the geometry brackets with the kit and love it, it rides better than stock and is awesome off road, it all depends on what kind of off roading you do
This. ^^^^.
And Teraflex makes a couple different 2.5" lifts, depending if you overland at heavy weights or not. If you do and you buy their cheaper kit, you may have trouble with rear end sag. I did and fixed it with OME HD rear springs (that was before TF announced their overland lift).

If you're light, expect up to an inch more than advertised.
if my jeep will be sitting higher than 2.5", will I need additional parts (a lot of people say on this forum,3" and higher lift requires more add on-s )?
As you go taller, you are more likely to want to put more money into it, but it is a personal opinion, not a requirement. You can slap 5 or 6 inch coils on and do nothing about the issues it causes if you choose. Completely up to you.
Spend a few minutes learning what issues taller lifts might cause, and what the various components actually do, so you can make a more informed decision.
