Default Need Help deciding.... :) (LIFT SETUP)

Got my second JK...and on the last one I ran a 2.5 inch coil spacer lift with skyjacker shocks and thought it was decent...I also ran 35 inch procomp MTs...with longer bumpstops...but since this is my new toy I want to get some advice....Right now I am looking at running a ZONE 4" lift kit on a 2DR....however...I've already ordered Skyjacker LCAs and daystar 3/4" spacers for the front due to my massive winch bumper... and I want to run 35s can anyone tell me if this is absolute over kill on a two door and if I should just run the three inch kit...I wish i could find some more pictures...but anyways advice...3" or 4" ?????? thanks

May I ask what made you decide on Zone? And I beleive with that much lift on a 2 door your gonna need rear adjustable LCA and new drive shaft to get your pinion angle correct.

Well Ive ordered Skyjacker Adjustable LCAs...and the rear comes with an Adjustable track bar I believe....Would the driveshafts need to be replaced immediately? and your thinking Adjustable LCAs for the rear? Wow...perhaps..I should just run the three inch with 3/4" spacers in the front and Adjustable LCAs in the front....Seems like a lot less work

From what I hear, the zone kits typically give you a bit more lift than is advertised unless you have a lot of extra weight. w/ the 3 inch kit you might not need a new drive shaft, w/ the 4 inch you probably will. the 3 inch is plenty of lift to clear 35's. If I were you, I would get the 3 inch lift and an adjustable front trackbar. On the other hand the 4" comes w/ an adjustable front trackbar, so it sounds like you're pretty well set (other than the drive shaft problem you'll likely have). Hope that helps! Post pics when you're done, thats going to be a sweet rig!

IMO 4" is over kill for 35's, plus you need a lot more parts than the 3"

Your better to stick with the 3" kit on the two door, even at 3" on the two door you need to replace the rear driveline. The stock one will not hold up and you don't want it going out on the trail. There's no way to fix it.

So on the 3" lift you need atleast upper front and rear control arms, track bars front and rear. You can lift it with less components but it will not drive correctly.

So even if I ran LCAs in the front...the advice is to go with the 3" lift...say LCAs arent required untill your run up to the 4" unless you want to run cambolts which I dont want to...Plus looking at how expensive Woods driveshafts are...FML...Keep the post coming thanks

Take a step back and browse through the FAQ's again.

Compare these to what comes in the kits you are looking at.
Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 3" lift?
Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 4" lift?
Note the driveshaft recomendations. They are mentioned in several different places in the faq's for a reason...

For the caster, and the reason for the adj ca's, read this one again:
Q: What is Caster? How much do I need?
The higher you go, the lower the caster becomes, and the worse the handling will be.

If you do not want to replace driveshafts, you might consider a lower lift and :
