I am in process of trimming my stock fenders. If I don’t like it when I am done I have already decided to go with the Xenon. I like the Xenon because they are as good as the Bushwacker, but less people run them. So my jeep will look a little different from the others.

I don't have the $$ for the River Raiders, but I would choose the Bushwackers rather than the Xenons.. Not a bad idea though, cutting the stocks and THEN spending the 500 beans if you don't like the results.. Probably will go that way!!

I'm looking at the Rugged Ridge ones. They are pretty cheap, but they do their job. Quadratec has em for like $370, but I found them for around $270 (free shipping) on baseline4x4.com. Easy install, too it seems. Anyone heard anyhting about them?

On a scale of 1-10 how difficult would you rate the install ?

Before you install the rear would you mind taking a picture of it next to the stock flare so I can see the difference in texture ?

That install looks easier then the bushwakers but be careful with steel flares. I would rather ruin a 150$ plastic flare on the trail then ruin 500$+ of fender and bodywork because the flare was stronger then the mounting surface.

Also make sure you don't need marker lights in your area as those look to be unlit.

i'm with you on this one. i have seen a jk get laid on it's side with cut factory fenders. when we pulled it back up, the fenders were smashed/torn off but surprisingly, there was no damage to the body. likewise, i have seen various aftermarket steel fenders and even hard plastic ones like xenons be the cause of significant body damage. the fenders still looked great after a hit but the energy from the impact transferd directly into the body.

Hey Bwest99svt just finished tonight in the dark so the pics would have been shitty. i will try to get the comparison and the final shots for you in the morning. I would put the install at a 2-3 for difficulty all you really need is a drill and a couple of bits. And yea the fenders would probably do body damage to the body if you put it on its side. so the best way to fix that is dont put it on its side. If you have any more ?s I will do my best to answer them. THESE FENDERS ARE AWSOME!!!
