Default Need help with a lift

I want to purchase a 2" - 2.5" spacer lift. I am looking at the Teraflex budget boost and the Rough Country premium budget boost. I have read in other posts on this forum that these are both good, complete kits and I would be very happy with them, and they will give me enough clearance to run 35's (any off-roading will be pretty light, or beach). Are there any other components I would need to complete the lift? I've read about track bars and lower control arms and staying away from cam bolts...starting to get a little confused as to what i need to get the lift I want, and still have a vehicle that is in alignment and safe for my family.

My problem is the install. I could probably do it myself, with some help, but this is my daily driver, and I don't want to screw it up. I have contacted a couple of places that specialize in Jeep mods, and the prices they are quoting me for labor seem very high.

I live in the Reading, PA area, and have limited tools/space to do this myself. Just wondering if there is anyone that could help with the install. You name the beer and I'll bring a case.

Thanks,
Tom

check your local staging area for places to install or ask them for help. i'm sure they would be happy to lend a hand if beer is provided.

Damn, I'd help ya out buddy but I live in georgia! In the Army we have Auto centers that allow us to put our personal cars and trucks up and racks and also have a shop full of tools that can be signed out to us. All we have to do is pay a $5.00 an hour bay fee. If it needs to be stored overnight it's $7.00 and they even have mechanics walking around to provide advide and help us out. It's pretty cool. Get you an Army buddy and go to the Army base!!!

Or.. take the money you would spend on labor and buy yourself the tools you need. You'll need these tools again in the future.

Or... Autozone has a tool rental, try them.

Or... Drive to Georgia and put I'll help ya put it on, we'll take it on some trails and drink some beer!!!!
