Need help with a lift
I don't know which way to go. It either going to be a 2.5 in rough country lift or the 4in lift...Which would be best way to go.... Im thinking about keeping my stock rims a tiers for a bit.. would the 4in look bad. I got the 17in rims... thanks for your input.
and also is there anything more I would have to get with the 4in... Like drive shafts or longer arms? Or for that matter the 2.5in?

From experience I would tell you only spend the money once, if a 4" is what you want then get it. It may look a little goofy but who cares, its your JK. With a true 4" you will be looking at drive shafts, brake lines, trackbars, breather extensions, and control arms. Now dont let all that sound overwhelming. Break lines are cheap, you can readjust the stock breather with a little work, the track bars (or brackets if you really want) are only about 250 for both. I say control arms because you will drasticly change your caster angle, you can go without but you will eventually want them (front lowers and rear uppers at a min). Your biggest expense will be driveshafts, but you can run your stockers till they die. Your rear DS will go first, but plan to do both eventually.
thanks I thought I would nee a new drive shaft.... but on the 2.5 would I need one.. Thanks for the help..
Ps. how do you like that bumper you got.. that's the one I was looking at..

On a 2.5" you wont need new DS. The breaking point for most is the 3-3.5" range when new DS are required. I love the bumper, fitment was great and it looks good. I did have to drill new holes for the EPI though as it wont fit that model stock.
2 door or 4 door? Auto or 6 speed transmission? If you have a 4 door with a 6 speed you don't have to get new driveshafts. 4 door with an auto you'll need a front shaft because the boot will get torn off at full flex, but the rear will be fine with 4". If you have a 2 door you'll need a rear because of the angle of the driveshaft.
Like 09rubi said, you've got the bug. Go big already. You're going to do it anyway. Get a decent kit and it will already have the arms with it. Your d-shafts'll last long enough for you to save up to replace'em. I'm deep into my second generation of mods and am wishing I was spending more time and $$$ on new stuff rather than redoing stuff I've already done.

thanks guys... I know if i get the 2.5in im going to want to go bigger. But my thout is right now it my daily driver and some day it will be a toy and that's when I would do the big lifts. what I was thinking is going with the 2.5in lift just to get some height. And slowly build up everything like drive shaft and all that for a bigger lift down the road...
thanks every one
