Default Need help lifted drivetrain question

So where do I start I installed a OME lift and 35's about 5,000 miles ago. I have been keeping an eye on the rear drive shaft and the CV joint is good.

However I was installing a 7 pin trailer conector today and noticed the front drive shaft CV joint has just started throwing a little grease. I'm supposed to leave Saturday on a trip up north 4 wheeling. The trip will be mild but the drive shafts turns all the time if I'm not mistaken.

My question how long will this last in this condition 100 miles or 1,000 miles. There is very little grease that has come out.

Also I know the lift didn't help the situation but I didn't think the front is where I would see the problem I thought it would be the rear.

Any input on how long this will last would be appreciated.

IMO once it starts to go it usually goes pretty fast. You may infact get another 1000miles out of it, but I doubt it, especially with some flex. Two options: drive it till it blows or order a replacment.

Thanks for the response. I think I will run it till it grenades, I will take the tools to remove it and I can always just run in 2 wheel drive.

My frt ds threw a little grease after my 4in superlift, ordered a JE Reel, put it in and it was ok until I got my new gears and frt locker. Then TF case started making a noise. Got a new TF case noise still there a little. Put stock DS back in and noise is a little better. All said, on 5in of lift in frt, the stocker has run about 10,000 miles. Off-road 4 times. I have a 4-dr btw. If it's just throwin a little grease, you'll be ok for awhile. If it's throwin mega grease, it'll definately lety you know by squalling.

Thanks for the advice. I was worried because its the family vacation and I don't want to bum anyone out with the Jeep going down. It's just a little, so I think I will clean it off today and drive it and see how much its throwing.

I will take the tools needed to pull it. Worst case I will run 2wd in the sand.
