Default Need help with Mopar lift

Hello Jeepers

I am new to the JK scene(82 CJ) and could use a little help and advice.

I was thinking of installing the RE lift from Mopar. I know the dealer sells them anywhere from 4500.00 to 5300.00 but I found one on Ebay from a dealer here in Florida. There is not a whole lot of action on it and I already got to the reserve which was well below a thousand bucks. I emailed the dealer to see if it was TGTBT and they said it was legit. My question is this, how much should I bid up to? Is the reason no one is bidding cause they are junk? Is it still worth it if I get bid up to 1500.00? And then finally how is the overall quality of the lift? thanking you all for reading my post. Here is a link to the auction.

I would get some other prices from mfg who makes a 4.5 long arm to compare. I'm not a fan ebay bc I just dont trust stranges enough to give them $1000 for something like that!! Cause all i see is boxes and some instructions!

It seems to be legit, and the kit is well respected and trail proven, altho there are other kits that might be favored more so by members on this forum.

But for that kind of price??? I say GO FOR IT!!

Keep searching and looking at other forums as well to see how they rate the set up.

But by posting queries, you might have put the wolves on the trail of a great deal and end up bidding against them as well!

Just search in private, or PM (private message) some of the guys who run the lift if you want to keep it a little more clandestine for now.

I've had good luck with Ebay but never spent 1K on anything. A couple hundred I've done, but I'd say it isn't much riskier than buying from anywhere else online.

Thats a good price for a complete kit like that. It still has over 3 days left so I bet the price will climb above $1500. Anything under the cost of the kit from anywhere else would be good.

Default that's a great price

I also have the lift (but not the MOPAR part number). Great lift! And you have the advantage of being able to take it into the dealer and have them know something about it. Good price also. You might do some research on it as their are many members that feel that it's design is fundamentally flawed as far as flex.

If you can get for 1500 then that will be a steal. Hell, if I had a 4 door I would want to bid on that.
