Default need help with tire sizing

ok so i have decided on my set of new wheels which will be cragar series 342 black "D" window wheel

these:
http://www.quadratec.com/products/92600_213_07.htm

in the 16x8" size from my research these should fit without issue

then for tires i have decided on the BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO

Im looking to keep the diameter to around 31" maybe 32 as i have no lift on yet.

so what i am asking for is the tire measurement i will need to run these on those rims at that diameter i think the size i am looking for is P275/80R16 is this correct? if not can anyone who has a similar setup assist me? Thank you.

good with a wrench not so much with tire sizes lol

The size you've listed is actually theoretically a 33" tire. I don't see BFG A-T T/A KO's in a 285 size that runs closer to the 32" size (285/70R16). This tire is gonna be pretty wide compared to the stock tires so you might want to think about the potential of rubbing on the front sway bar near the full steer position. The Cragar wheels have 5" backspacing so you should investigate it.

Good luck!

I'm not sure what you would need, but with the backspacing on those wheels, you should be alright with running a 12.5 wide tire. You could possible have some
Rubbing issues, but it mostly depends on the amount of lift/backspacing/tire combo. I am currently running a 2 1/2 rubicon express lift with American racing 17x9" punisher rims and 33"BFG KM2's x 10.5 wide. I have no rubbing issues at all. My tire specs are 285/70/17. My tires measure to 32" with a tape. Hope this helps!

Ok thank you that give me a good size idea i did some more measurements and at full turn stock tires have about an 1.5" clearance to the sway bar so i can easily go wider and i shouldnt rub the fenders with 32 or 33 and if i do ill just swap for thinner fenders like the bushwacker

Open the faq's stickied to the top of this modified area, there is some good info on tires/rims/lifts/etc.

32's come stock in both 17 and 18" rim sizes. If you only want to go up to a 31 or 32, why not just look at take-offs from a rubi (32" MTs on 17'" rims) or take-offs from a sahara (32" ATs on 18" rims). If you want to go up to 33's, see the faq's mentioned above.
