Default Need help with tires?

I have an 07 wrangler with stock height and gears. I have kind of narrowed it down to 2 tires, 35/12.50/15 Pro Comp X-terrain or 35/12.50 Dynapro M/T. I got a price on both and with the Pro Comp having there buy 3 get 1 free there about the same price. $177 for the Dynapro and the Pro Comp I believe was like $230 a tire. Price isn't really a problem unless I have to buy a new Procomp tire because 1 Dynapro is around $50 cheaper. I wanna know everyones opinion on these tires because this deal on Pro Comps only lasts the rest of this month. I have heard that the X-terrain can last like over 20,000 miles and its really quite but what about the miles and sound on the Dynapro?

I'm also getting 4.88 gears and installation for $1200 is this an ok price?
The gears will be in before the tires go on but not a lift...should I wait? I have stock lift for the moment and 15 inch wheels with 3.75bs and 1.5 spacers.

You will have to lift your jeep to put on 35" tires.

Havent ever heard anything on the dynapro.............but im not a fan of the X-Terrains.........they arnt a good offroad tire (competition compound is a little better) and its not worth sacrificing road ride quality with a tire that is not goo off the road. Plus everyone has X-terrains...... I would go for the Xtreme Mud Terrains over the X-terrain.......I have the 35 flavor and they ride well on the road and seem to do as good as any standard Mud terrain tire offroad.

As far as the tires fitting...........you need atleast a 2 inch lift to fit 35's without some sort of fender trimming/ tube fenders.

II'm running Hankook Dynapro MT 35's on my wife's chevy and Dynapro 33's on my JK. I love them on both rides. They clean awesome. My wife's truck doesn't go off road that much, but my JK does and again, awesome tire!

Are the Dynapro's very loud on the highway? I have the 33 Terra Grapplers now and I really don't like them, when I get in the mud they just coat up with mud and kinda act like your on ice...lol...they just don't want to clean out. Maybe if they are on a big v-8 or something like that maybe they would but not on my 202 horsey v-6.

Anyone like another m/t tire better? let me know I'll consider any tire and I'm kinda new to these tires. I kinda got out of 4x4's for about 6 years or so.

I just looked at these yesterday. The local tire shop near my house has them in 295/75/R16 for $160. I am going to get a set next week. My friend has them on a full size pickup and they are not too noisy somewhere between an A/T and a M/T. The 295/75R16 are a full inch taller and about 3/4" wider than my current 285/75/R16. They measured out at 33.6". They seem to wear pretty good on road too.

They are WAY quieter then the BFG MT's they replaced on my JK. They clean WAY better also. Plus, they are alot cheaper. I got 5 installed for 1000 bucks cdn. Really nice tires. We hardly notice them at all on the highway when we're in our chevy... the jeep on the other hand tends to let in more road noise anyway. Compared to the stock tires...way noisier, but compared to BFG MT's quite reasonable.

I think quite a reasonable compromise between an AT vs. MT!
