Need HELP: Toe and caster angle for 33s/ 34s
Guys, need your help here. Since installing 33s in the summer I've been experiencing some light death wobble. My dealer says that everything with the suspension and steering is all right. They have also made the wheel alignment, however, this did not help.
Now, after reading some posts on this forum, I'm starting to think that the problem is with the toe and caster angle.
Please advise what should be the toe and caster angle with 33s/ 34s (planning to install 34s next summer) to run smoothly.
Thanks in advance!!!
P.S. As I understand, the camber angle should remain stock in any case.

If you still have the stock suspension, I wouldn't think castor is an issue in that this is fixed from the factory. This is only adjustable with aftermarket control arms. If you were aligned and the toe was in spec, not sure that would be the problem either. I have messed with the casotr angle on my 2 door and have a lift with control arms. The 35s on mine do make the jeep a little flightly at 4 degrees of castor which is about the stock setting. I am now at about 5.5 degrees and things seem much better.
There are many on here who will offer up advice on the death wobble issue - even on the stock suspension.

What do you mean by "light death wobble"? I've not personally experienced death wobble, but the way I understand it, it's a very violent shaking that feels like the whole Jeep is coming apart. I don't think are are different degrees of death wobble. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong

By the way, I'm planning to install TF 2.5 coil lift next summer. Do you recommend also putting on the adjustable control arms?

I suggest you play with the air pressure first, and check your toe, also check and make sure your frt track bar is torqued and steering stabilizer is good . Honestly , with what your describing, as said before, usually if your getting a vibe at a certain speed and it goes away after that speed, it's driveshaft or tire oriented.

I would look check your end cv bearing type joints to see if there is any play and also if either is throwing grease. . As for the weights on the DS, they look like little squares with a hole in the middle . They are about an inch square. Look for blank looking spot where one may have come off. This will make more since when you look at the DS.

I'll check the DS during the next weekend! Hope that this is where the vibes come from!
