Default Need help with winch and Mopar bumper

I would like to put the Superwinch EPi 9.0 Winch on my Mopar Bumper. But I did a search and found only one thread from a year ago. Basicly they had trouble with the roller fairlead bolts hitting the winch. Preventing them from bolting the fairlead on. Anyone have this set up now? Is it still a problem and how did you solve it?

Just reverse the nut and bolt. So the nut is on the outside and the head of the bolt on the inside. It should clear like that, at least mine does.

That is what I am hoping I can do. That would be a easy fix. Do you have a Mopar Bumper?

I had some clearence probs as well with my winch.

At one point i installed the nuts on the inside however just trimmed the bolt so there was nothing left after the nut!

Then I reversed it and put the nuts on the outside... Looks great with no access coming out from the nut...

ohh, and put the fairlead on before the winch is mounted... i found this helped...

If the nut is just to thick, you may need to swap out the nuts ans bolts for something not so thick!

The space is VERY little. Could I trim the head of the bolt using the nut outside??
Any other ideas??

Sure ya could...

I put the bolts extending on the outside.... then just came along with the angle grinder, and cut them even... made for a really nice look... and ya cant get any closer than that really... After that it all fit...

BUT.... I had to take the winchout just to put a new damn fairlead on... b/c of the same problem (no room).. Otherwise i found it impossible to get at he nuts and or bolts for whatever way you make the bolts go...

I should add that i had the bolts extending on the outside, then put the nut on THEN trimmed the bolt even with the nut
