Default Need immediate help - Lug Nuts and Wheels

Hello All,

I just lifted the jeep. 6" teraflex with 37"mtrs and 17" kmc addict wheels.

I bought new lug nuts with the addicts. But I cannot find them!

Can I use my stock lug nuts or am I stranded until I can find the aftermarket ones?

Thank you!

unless the angle of the mounting holes are significantly different on your new wheels, there should be no reason why you couldn't reuse your stock lug nuts.

or possibly they are substantially thinner wheels in which the lug nuts bottom out before tight (pretty unlikely if you are going from factory aluminum wheel to aftermarket aluminum wheel).

naw, the factory lugs nuts are capped and the studs would push them off or go right through them - trust me, i speak from experience here

True. The ones on my old Ranger's lugs were pretty thick on the caps. Gave me a false sense of torque until about 70ft/lb and it kept clickin off any higher without torquing. Ended up going with all open ended lug nuts.

The caps do fall off, and then you have to drop to a 1mm smaller socket to get them off!

I am going to mount my XD Addicts tomorrow and I too was wondering if you could use the stock lugs. At least until I decide if I am going to go with the black gorillas....

Anyone using stock lugs on XD Addict's?

Does it matter if his old rims are hub centric and the ones aren't....
