Default Need a little help with power guys...

well i have 2010 6speed, 2.5BB, with 35s. This is my first jeep and have only had it a few months and these are the only mods i have done. I plan on re-gearing within the next few months and am willing to take any suggestions on that. But in about a week i willing be making a drive that usually takes 12 hours. Right now my jeep cant even maintain 70 in 6th gear, is there anything i could put on there without re-gearing to help with this problem for now, just to add a little more highway speed?

Order a Superchips Flashpak. If you search Superchips you will find TONS of info about it. I'm in a similar situation where I will be regearing but prob not before I go on my trip and I decided on a Superchip.

Thanks. Have you already had yours installed, if so how do you like it? Can you tell any real difference?

No I'll be getting them shortly but I did a bunch of research and it seems the front lower arms are the way to go. I've already added a front adjustable trac bar and will be adding a rear one eventually as well. The trac bars are not a priority as the lift you and I have doesn't shift the axles out much and with my lift and I'm sure yours too come with a rear trac bar bracket to correct the geometry of the axle. But, I've been adding things as I can because I hope to get into a bigger lift and would like to chip away at the expense by adding some items as I go.

Agreed. Get those 5:13's installed and don't look back. NOTHING else short of a super charger or a hemi will give you your power back.

Actually, Ripp recommends gearing first...

Just keep it in 5th unless you are going down hill or have a tailwind. Just because it has 6 gears doesn't mean you have to use them all.

Our long tube header - with tune runs wonderfully, makes great power and is fairly affordable.
