Question Need a little help w/ rear control arms

Greetings!

This past weekend I noticed that my rear springs are becoming more "bent" and my rear axle actually does sit noticeably forward in the wheel wells. I have a 4" Skyjacker lift that came with fixed lower control arms and uses stock uppers. In the rear I have 2.5" coils + .75" spacers instead of the 4" coils. I'm also using the stock rear trackbar with Skyjacker's rear trackbar brace/relo bracket.

Drive-ability and everything has been great for over 15000 miles with this setup, but the springs are getting more bowed and I think it's time to move the rear axle back a bit.

So, do I just get rear upper and lower adjustable arms, set them all a certain length longer and install them? Pinion angle is good right now, but I could set the uppers a slightly longer extension amount.

Anyway, any other suggestions? I definitely need the best set of bang for the buck arms if I do this as funds are tight. And as of right now, I'm planning on sticking with the fixed Skyjacker lower and stock upper fronts.

Thanks in advance!

Any words of wisdom or advice? I've seen a few posts that mentioned rear spring angle mounts, but can't seem to find through the search. Should I just do that instead? Or just get some spring retainers? (bottom retainers are easy, hose clamps; but need to find uppers)

To clarify the bowing rear springs, they go back and down from the upper mounts, then curve forward to meet the lower mounts. One of them likes to slip a bit at the top mount though and I've reseated it a couple of times.

I'd appreciate any prior experience y'all can offer. But as of right now I'm looking at spring retainers and possibly 4 rear arms.

Thanks again!

EDIT: Maybe I'll just get the Currie retainer kit, includes top and bottom.

Alec,

There was not a clear cut question in your OP and it seemed like you actually answered your own post.

Here goes anyway.... To do it right you need proper length control arms on bottom and adjustable ones on the top. The spring bow you mention is very common. It happens when the axle is rotated. There are three fixes 1. use a wedge 2. cut of original spring pad and install a bolt on at the proper angle 3. cut and weld the original pad to the proper location.

You can either buy CAs or build your own. There are plenty of builder parts available. When you buy a quality complete kit you pay for it or you can always frankenstein your own from different manufacturers.

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure my thought processes were on the right track.

I think I'll get the Currie retainer kit and a set of wedges, and possibly the arms if I can scare up the funds.
