Default Need opinions on rear bumper and tire carrier

Hey everyone,

I am looking to get a rear bumper/tire carrier combo. Problem is I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it. Budget is tight. Its only gonna be used to haul the spare around. I am looking at Rugged Ridge, Smittybilt and Body Armor. These seem to fit in the price range for me.

Any and all suggestions would be much appreciated!!!!!!

OrFab makes a killer setup that is heavy duty. There prices are fair also.

What is the budget specifically? I'm having some trouble tracking down prices for the brands you linked. Personally I have my eye on the LOD stubby rear bumper, which I think you can see on a few of the jeeps in WOL's videos (including his own). These might be too heavy-duty a bumper you're looking for. $650 too much?

I think the smitty built will be the best bang for the buck. The Or Fab tire carrier is nice too but you might want to consider the long install if you will be paying someone to do it, then the labor will put your cost through the roof.

I'm happy with my smittybilt SRC. I looked for while also, and for the price I couldnt beat it. Easy install too...
