Default Need side mirror replacement

Who makes the best side mirror replacement for when the doors are off?

Do the Outlaw mirrors work on a JK?

Thanks.

I do (just kidding), but they're not for sale:

Do a search on the board. There are several threads on them. Good luck.

i say save a hundred plus dollars and go to the auto store, the hardware store and geta set of cheap mirrors, some steel rod, paint and go to town and make customs. Should get out for under $50 and will look as good or better than you can buy. Plus, if your really good, you could get a bolt that fits the door nuts and weld it to the rod and use the same nut for the door as the mirrors.

If you know someone who welds, have them make some. I used scrap for mine, so they didn't cost a single cent.

I have the Lange Originals Quick Mirror II. Cost for 2 of them were about $120 from Quadratec. I had a pair of custom ones I built for $30 bucks but I was never really happy with how they looked. These look really nice and are easy to take on and off.

I would agree with BLKRuby -- see what you can do on your own instead of buying something OTS.

I like my Outlaws.

Easy on & easy off, mirrors on both sides and they look nice. If I had it to do over, I would buy them again.

Good luck with the search...

I'd recommend to NOT get on of these:

I can't believe I paid $55 for this. It vibrates like crazy...pretty much worthless while driving, and to top it off, it took a nice chunk of paint off of my door hinge It's a metal on metal contact mount. You twist the knob and it basically just torques into your door hinge. I made a plastic flashing out of a Parkay butter lid. I haven't taken it off again to see if there's any more paint damage

It is very quick to put on and take off--no tools needed...I'm hoping someone will steal it soon. The little allen screw came loose the first time I drove down a gravel road. Luckily I had thrown the allen wrench in the console.

Pro's: very easy to put on and take off
Con's: would be very easy for someone to steal, vibrates like crazy, way to expensive for the overall quality of the product, will probably damage the paint on your door hinge
