Default Need Smittybilt Winch Remote

I have a Smittybilt XRC 8000 winch and need a new remote for it. It powers out, but not in. I can put a paper clip in the winch wire connector holes and make it work. So I know it is the remote and not the winch.
I see some of the other brands of winches have remotes for sale on EBAY and other sites. But I can't find one for Smittybilt. They don't list them on the Smittybilt home page. Does anyone know who makes Smittybilt? Someone told me T-Max, and someone else said Milemarker. Does anyone know if most winches use the same size connector for their remotes so another brand would work? Or better yet, does anyone know a place that sells remotes for Smittybilts? Or have one laying around that they want to sell?

Funny.......mine powers in, but not out. I'd love an answer to this one also. I sent an email to Smittybilt weeks ago but so far, no answer.

Just found my remote basically cut in half under my backseat, guess the seat brackets did it when folded them down

Did a search for a replacement but $40+ with shipping seems stiff
Are they still $19.99 bustabiz at 4wd did a search with part number with no luck.

My winch controller stopped working also. I gutted it and installed a single 3 way momentary switch that I got from Napa. I shouldn't have that problem again.

I installed a 3 way momentary switch inside the cab. Now that I hear the remote gives out, I'm glad I installed the switch even more now.

I don't think the give out, mine was crushed under the backseat.
