Default Need some muffer size help, Please

hey folks, I want to put a magnaflow on my JK, it is a 2dr Rubi. I really like this muffler and wanted somebody to tell me or go look and measure to see how this compares in size to the stock muffler. It is about 75 bucks shipped on ebay, thought that this would get me by for a while until I decide on something better. Thanks

I dont want to change all the pipes etc bec stock pipes are stainless steel and mendrel bent, so it is just a waist of money let me know the details or any link where i can order online thanks

summitracing.com or jegs.com has a much larger selection for good pricing and free shipping. Also look into the Dynomax mufflers. I am beginning to find that those may be the best bang for the buck. That muffler is going to tuck up a lot better into the stock location than the huge stock muffler does.

A lot of people are saying its a horrible place for the muffler to be, and in truth if your rockcrawling it is. BUT 2dr people are stuck between a rock and a hard place where this is concerned. I've had my Jeep at a weird angle before where I thought it would scrap the stock muffler and it didn't and I am on stock tires and no lift. I think if you don't get into really rough situations you should be okay. Heck thats where the gas tank was on ALL the other Jeeps. Maybe a skid plate will come out from the aftermarket to protect the mufflers.

SO stick it in the stock location and enjoy it.

you might also look at the 5x8 mufflers and the ones that are shorter in total length.

There are also the Crossflow style mufflers made for Camaros/Firebirds that should fit in the stock locations. They are probably the same size as the stock though...I dunno your choice. I just wouldnt blow several hundred dollars on a "cat back" kit.

i haven't been under mine yet, but was told that if you move the evap canister, you may be able to squeeze it in the ctr, like the aftermarket kits are doing for the 4doors. did you look into that?

Just ordered the Dynomax cat back system from 4wd.com this past weekend. I'll let you know how it turns out this coming weekend.
