Default Need Some Opinions

I'm looking to go bigger with my tires. Right now I have 255/70r16 which is small. I wish I could go to 35s, but I don't have the time or money to regear right now and I have a 2007x with 3.21 gears so I know it will be a dog if i go to 35s. However it is about the same price on treaddepot to get 33inch Cooper STT and 35inch Kelly Safari TSR. What do you think? Also if I go with the 33s, I would probably just put a teraflex 1.5 inch leveling kit with coil springs. Anyone have pics of that setup?

If you settle on 33's, you're probably going to regret that you didn't spring for the 35's.

I run duratrac's in a 33'' with a 2.5 inch lift, I think on a 2 door it looks great. More so how it should have came from the factory. 35''s look awesome as well, and I do find myself eyeing them as they pass.
If I had a JKU without a doubt I would be running 35's min. they just look right

Also there is a thread on here, I believe it's called "show me your 33'' lot's of pics.

And yes I have lost the use of my OD (6th) if I'm on any sort of incline or headwind.
I didn't look to see if your a 12-up, I have the 3.8, if so you might be able to bare it with the auto.

Don't forget to get something to adjust for tire height. tuner or procal

2010 JK with 35s with 3.21 gears for over a year now. There's a ton of JKs like this out there and it's a Jeep. Slow to start with, but I find I can get off the line quick and get up to speed just fine. If you have an auto, just don't use OD then you're fine. Standard, well you pick your own gears so that doesn't really matter. We'll run it like this till we can afford to get 37s and 4.88 gearing

I agree. I say get the 35's, and save for gears. I have a feeling you will regret it down the road if you don't.

I'm sorry but regardless of 33 or 35 you will feel the loss of power. You could go with a 2.5 lift and run either tire you would like and it would look fine. Just put up with it and save up for new gears.

I would go 35's and save up for gears. You can get a 2.5" coil lift with shock extensions for less than $500.

Maybe one of our sponsors can give you some feedback.

I started with 33's and almost immediately regretted it. I upgraded to a set of 35's and sold the 33's. I know plenty of people that are running your gears with 35's. Some are happy and some are saving up for a re-gear. Either way, you'll spend more money in the long run if you get the 33's and later regret it.

To me, 33's look like a stock Jeep.

I have a 11' JKU with 35"s and 3.21's. it's NOT my DD but I find it very do-able and will deff get gears later on just to get more of the "stock" feel back.
