Default Need Source for Rear Carrier Rack

Hi - I'm looking for a link to a supplier of a luggage rack (and mounting bracket) to provide a luggage carrier that resides above the spare tire.

There seem to be a number of such racks available, but all are for the TJ and earlier models - nothing for the 07/08 JKs.

Here's a link to something close, mounted to an older TJ model. I'd be willing to do without the gas can mounts.

You'll have to change the bumper for most, Bestop puts out one that mounts straight to your tailgate. If you're going the bumper route, Rock Hard among others makes some nice stuff.

LoD is another. Also Rock Hard will work with some other brands of bumper I have heard.

NICE PIC!!

BestTop has a pretty good looking rear carrier which I THINK mounts directly to the tailgate. But they haven't built one for the JK yet. Guess these things take time. I'll Google the brands listed in the previous posts - thanks to all for the tips!

Here's a nice pic from "Putnam Hal" as I recall.

Anyone know where this came from? LOOKS like it's mounted onto the bumper (not the tailgate). So I assume access to the rear is gone? Dunno. But apart from that, this looks like what I need . . . any info on source, brand, distributor much appreciated.

That is the Rock Hard 4x4 bumper that you linked in the original post.
