Default Need for track bar brace?

Im still learning with my first jeep and am wondering if I need rear track bar bracket brace. Ive read the stock brackets are weak. Ive looked at the teraflex rear brace and it says for stock track bar. It also says for 2 inch shock body. So, I have synergy adjustable track bar and rancho 9000 shocks with 2.5 shock body. What are my options for bolt on brace? This is my daily driver and rarely gets of pavement.

I personally wouldnt worry about it if you barely offroad. Even with moderate wheeling i wouldnt worry.

Not sure which brace u are referring to. But if u mean the teraflex bracket that bolts to the chassis and connects to the rear track bar- those are used to correct the axles geometry when u left it. If you already own an adjustable track bar in the rear, you do NOT need this bracket as the synergy Trackbar already corrects the tracking geometry for u. So basically you would have redundant parts.

The teraflex had a u bolt going around axle and said it reinforced stock bracket. I was just wondering if I needed this for the rear or front for that matter. My first jeep and trying to learn all this.

It wouldn't hurt to add it. If it raises the axle end of the rear track bar it will improve the handling. If your TF lift has the drop bracket on the frame end of the track bar remove it because they are known to break.

Interesting to know. I have the frame bracket and it's made popping sounds, and I recently crawled under my jeep to inspect it, and had found the bolt loose. I tightened it up.. (1 week ago) but wow.. I wasn't aware of this.. Thanks for the info.. I will probably invest in an adjustable track bar soon.

You always want to raise the axle side to raise the roll center. It will help handling even with an adj track bar. Its reccomended for most lift t get them back to stock feeling. I personally don't think its a huge deal though. Imo in the rear id get a rear axle mount track bar bracket that raises it before the trackbar and see if you need one after. It usually puts the stock track bar back were it should be also.

The stock TB brackets are know to be weak - depending on how you drive it. The other reason is to get the TB closer to horizontal; this will improve handling and wont feel so thumpy & jerky going over bumps.

Added strength doesn't hurt. One thing to look in to, though, is raising the roll center in the rear without a corresponding raise up front. Some other posts indicate that it might lead to funky handling.

Are we talking about the rear track bar relo bracket that puts the track bar on top of the axle? If so, this would be needed, from what I've seen if your replacing your rear diff cover as it will come in contact with the track bar. Relocation also puts it out of harms way of rocks.
