Default Need winch advise asap!!

Guy is trying to sell me a warn xd9000 winch for $440 but it needs the remote because it shorted out and it needs the "quick connectors that go to the vehicle".

Is this a good deal? Will warn replace anything?

If the motor is in good shape, the drum is in good shape, the cable is in good shape and the solenoids are in good shape and you really want a Warn because of the name, then by all means, it's worth it.

Otherwise...

I'd stay away from it as there are no "quick connectors" Something may be fried and if they won't demo it for you that speaks for it's self.

The biggest dilemma I have is that I can get an Engo 10k with synthetic line for $435... Or a used warn xd9000 for $400....

What it sounds like to me is I cut this off someone's vehicle (aka stole it) so it doesn't have the connectors or remote

That's exactly what that sounds like to me too. If he can't demo it, I wouldn't buy it. If you're just looking for cheap options there are others I would go with, if you really want a warn that bad, then don't be surprised if it has issues when you get it all set up. Your winch is your emergency back up plan, wouldn't want to skimp on that, at least I wouldn't.
