Default Need write up/information on installing rear driveshaft

I tried searching but could not find anything that explains why we have to install rear upper adjustable control arms with the driveshaft. I have a 2010 2 door jk with 4 inch teraflex lift. I'm not installing this stuff myself but I need some info to give to my mechanic to make sure this is set up right. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Go to the Tom Wood's DS site. It shows the correct way to set up an aftermarket DS and the angle of your pinion.

The adjustable control arms are necessary to move the pinion to the correct location.

The factory drives shafts can't handle the extreme angles created by the 4" lift.

There is an explaination of how/why to adjust the rear control arms when installing the lift with the new drive shaft.

I highlighted that section in the attached instructions.

My question is, if your mechanic has no idea why you are installing these parts then do you have the right mechanic?

Yeah you are totally right. I wish I could find a good shop that specializes in jeeps. I've been to a bunch of different places in my area and none of them seem to no why I have to install the control arms with the shaft. One place even says they specialize in 4x4 off road stuff. I wish I knew how to do this stuff myself but unfortunately I do not.
