Nerf Bars?
Tall Jeep = GOOD, Short Wife = BAD
I need to chick-a-fy my Rubicon
My short wife can't climb into it easily. Had to get Nerfs for my truck and looks like the same for the Jeep.
Anybody have a favorite brand that would also work well as a step? I would only go with a frame mounted design and ideally one that attached to the frame in 3 places (4dr).
I saw Olympic made a rectagular model, anybody running this? Tubular rock rails would be great for me but not wife approved
Thanks for any help you can provide.

I just did this with my Rubicon for the wife and kids... pick up some Sahara steps, they match the Rubicon/X/Sport fenders. You can find a relatively new pair for $150, give or take $50.... they take 5 minutes to switch between.

Just tell her to bring along a bigger phone book...she'll be okay.
I have a two door but I this should work on a four door. I bought the Westin Signature series nerf bars. Initially I took off the Rubi rock rails to install the nerf bars. However, after installing one of them I determined I had enough room to leave on the rock rails. I now run both the rock rails and the nerf bars together. In the event I want to go wheelin, I can just remove the nerf bars and be ready to go with the rock rails. Hope this helps. If you want pics, just ask and I'll send them your way.
I just put on nerf bars today. Cheapest (but with quality) was 3"rugged ridge from CES Offroad. 160 bucks, free shipping. They do mount to the body. Dont know where anything would mount to the frame without some drilling.
I do offroad but not rock climb. If you rock climb, then nerf bars are not for you.
