Would love to find some rock rails that double as steps. Where are these such rails??? I have to put my rails and steps on/off every time I want to go wheeling. This has become WAY TOO MUCH A PITA!!! My wife and kid can not get into the Jeep now w/o the steps.

When you put the shrockworks sliders on your Rubi, did you have to take the stock Rubi sliders off? Did you have to drill holes through the floor to put them on? I had to put the bolts through my floor on my YJ, but I really like the sliders and I am considering them for my JK Rubi.

You can leave the stock rubi rails on, but you need to tell the guys at Shrockworks when you place the order. They will adjust the location of the bars to make room for the old rails. I decided to take the stockers off a) to save weight, b) to sell them, and c) mine were on the way by the time I heard about this option
No floor drilling, just a little on the frame rails. See WOL's writeup.

Thanks, I figure I am going to need something as I have decided to go with the 3.5 RE long arm lift and 35's. I suspect I will need something to put my foot on to get in and I don't want nerf bars hanging down when I go off road. This looks like a good option.

I've been considering replacing them with Shrockworks sliders. But am concerned about slipping when we climb in and they are wet- especially concerned for my wife since she just had surgery on both knees, and a bad slip climbing in could really cause some problems.
I haven't put it on yet, but I bought some skateboard tape at the local skate shop. I'm told others have used it and it works great. It's basically black sandpaper w/glue on the back.
I've had the sliders on for about 2 months, and neither of the 6yr-old twins have had a problem so far.

Yup. B/G twins turn 7 in a few weeks. Lotsa fun. Nice to have the 4 door JK. They were growing out of the TJ quickly.

Yes Shrockworks rock rails. take your stock ones off. Sell them. Reallocate that money and line-x the rock rails. Mine are great not slippery at all. But I am working with the line-X dealer about the lifetime warranty for the bottom of the rails that have some scares on them. so far no problems.
